Location: Our apartments are in central New Glasgow, Westville and Trenton. Apartments are located in quiet neighbourhoods that are close to amenities.

Variety & Accessible: From bachelors to four bedroom apartments, from ground floor apartments to stylized attics, we have every size and all the amenities to suit your needs. We are also in the process of converting many of our ground floor units into reduced mobility access for the growing demand.

Respect: Respect is a core value of Homeward Bound Properties. For us, this means that we believe in offering the best of ourselves to make sure that you have a wonderful experience in your new home.

Non-Discrimination: We use a non-discriminatory approach to selecting tenants. This means that you will be considered equally with others based on prior references. Reference checking is central to our ability to help find the right fit for our apartments. Accordingly, when you move in, you and your neighbours can be confident that there will be mutual respect and awareness of safety.

Homeward Bound Properties (HBP) was founded by Ian Synnott in 2010.

I noticed the need for quality and affordable living in the heart of Pictou County and have been filling that gap by buying and renovating apartments with partners ever since. HBP is growing: now with 15 buildings that are home to over 100 people, renovated with the help of local trades people.

Going above and beyond expectations is key to our success.

Ian Synnott’s personal mission is to support people to find safe, comfortable housing that is also affordable.

With a background in both non-profit and business management, he aims to use his knowledge of finances to help his local community to prosper while making sure that all his clients from diverse backgrounds are well provided for and can feel at home.

He now proudly lives with his life partner in Pictou County.
